An electronic book which accepts electronic texts in the form of re-programmable non-volatile memory modules which are inserted into a universal socket on the electronic book. The text modules are coded/encrypted during manufacture, such that they are unusable and therefore worthless before purchase. The text modules are coded/encrypted again at the at the point of sale, and the electronic book is also coded at this point via the universal socket, such that the text module will work exclusively in the electronic book belonging to the buyer. The electronic book has two hinged parts, and derives power from an integral solar panel. |
