<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a grain oriented silicon steel sheet which has excellent magnetic properties and film properties by the improvement of magnesia as the main agent in a separation agent for annealing. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of producing the grain oriented silicon steel sheet containing 2.0 to 4.0 mass% Si, the powder of magnesia having citric acid activity of 35 to 100 sec and a mean particle diameter of 0.30 to 4.50 μm, and containing, by mass, 0.20 to 0.90% CaO, 0.02 to 0.75% SO<SB>3</SB>, 0.002 to 0.060% F and 0.03 to 0.2% B is incorporated into the separation agent for annealing before final finish annealing. Also, Cl, Br and I satisfying the relation in the following inequalities of 0.005≤[Cl]≤0.06, 0.001≤0.5[Br]+0.3[I]≤0.05, and 0.008≤[Cl]+0.5[Br]+0.3[I]≤0.08 are incorporated into the separation agent for annealing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
