<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner consumption amount with high precision based on the usage situation of an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: First, a toner density in the pixel of the formed image is detected and a coefficient Kei is obtained by referring to a table based on the toner density in a Fig. 1(a) (S11).
