<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door lock device for car capable of providing an improved antitheft performance to a door. <P>SOLUTION: If the presence of an occupant in a car cannot be confirmed by an occupant discrimination means within a specified time after a door lock means is locked from the outside of the car, the door opening operation of a door opening operation means on the indoor side becomes ineffective.
