PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic tracking system for measuring a position of a jacking machine curvedly jacking in a pipe, a tunnel or the like with a small bore not allowing entrance of a person. SOLUTION: An electromagnetic transmitter 2 is provided on the jacking machine 1 curvedly jacking in the pipe, the tunnel or the like, a locator 3 having an electromagnetic receiver 4 with a light receiving prism 3c is provided on the ground, an automatic tracking total station 6 is provided between the receiver 4 and a direction measuring point 5, the position of the jacking machine 1 is sent to an operating machine 7 by the automatic tracking total station 6, and the operating machine 7 calculates and displays a positional deviation between a planned route 8 and the jacking machine 1 measured by the automatic tracking total station 6.
