PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid coater capable of providing a coating film of uniform film thickness with less dispersion (coating irregularities) of the film thickness to the end part of the coating film. SOLUTION: In a coating head 20 provided with a slot 27 for making a liquid flow out in fixed thickness, both wall surfaces facing each other of the tip opening part 28 of the slot 27 are formed as slopes 21c and 22c inclined mutually in the opposite directions, the slopes 21c and 22c are made of a hydrophilic surface material and the lower end face of the coating head 20 continued on the outer side of the slopes 21c and 22c is made of a water repellent surface material. On either one or both of the wall surfaces facing each other of the tip opening part 28 of the slot 27, a linear scar in the width direction of the coating head 20 is formed.
