PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner of which the operability is improved by enabling cleaning of the deep side of a gap without being disturbed by its dust collecting part and by suppressing the acting of the angular moment of the dust collecting part upon a hose grip part even when cleaning the narrow gap under a bed or the like. SOLUTION: In the vacuum cleaner provided with a dust collecting part 3 on a suction path between a hose grip part 2 and a suction tool 5, the dust collecting part 3 is provided approximately on the center of the hose grip part 2. Besides, the dust collecting part 3 is of a cyclone type and formed approximately cylindrical for longitudinally turning air sucked from the suction tool 5 through with dust from the outer peripheral side to the inner peripheral side.
