PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule-type medical apparatus in which a prescribed function can be hardly impaired even when an external case is damaged. SOLUTION: Inside a capsule-type external member water-tightly covered with an external case 16 and a transparent cover 17, a substrate 26 packaged with a while LED, a lens frame 22 mounted with an objective lens 21, a substrate 24 packaged with a CMOS imager 24 and substrates 29a and 29b packaged with chip components 27a or the like are stacked in the lengthwise direction and a connecting part 30 of the substrate 24 and the substrate 29a or connecting part of the white LED 25 packaged on the substrate 26 is water- tightly covered with an insulating seal resin 33. Therefore, even when the external case 16 is damaged and a body fluid is infiltrated into the external case 16, the prescribed function realized by the substrate 24 or the like is not impaired by the body fluid.
