PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance electric hot water reservoir wherein a real hot water supply temperature can be guaranteed to become a prescribed temperature. SOLUTION: The electric hot water reservoir has a warmth retaining mode for heating a content liquid to a warmth retaining temperature lower than a prescribed temperature for supplying hot water and retaining the warmth and an instantaneous hot-water heating mode for discharging and supplying the content liquid under warmth retaining by instantaneous heating on a derivation path 4 having a heater 5. In the hot water supplying mode, on the basis of a difference between the warmth retaining temperature and the prescribed temperature in the case of discharging or the water supply temperature at a time point passing at least the heater 5 on the derivation path, a hot water flow rate per unit time and/or the heating capacity of the heater 5 on the derivation path 4 is changed and the hot water supply temperature is controlled to be the prescribed temperature.
