<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an open-cell porous sintered body for decomposing organic matter. <P>SOLUTION: Particles of an inorganic material having ion exchange characteristics and a fine powder of titanium dioxide are sintered through an inorganic binder to constitute the open-cell porous sintered body of which the surface has fine depressed parts capable of adsorbing the sintered body of the fine powder of titanium dioxide. The fine powder of titanium dioxide adsorbed by the open-cell porous parts of this sintered body and the fine powder of titanium dioxide bonded to the fine depressed parts of the surface of the sintered body are integrally sintered to manufacture the open-cell porous sintered body for decomposing organic matter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
