SOLUTION: A tail address of a data character comprising a 13-digit numeral among bar code data stored in a text memory 31 is set to a data pointer value DP (S130). It is judged (S132) whether or not read out code data is code data showing any of numerals '0'-'9', and it is judged (S133) whether or not code data is code data of the numeral '9'. In the case where the read out data is code data of the numeral '9' (S133: YES), data indicated by the data pointer value DP is replaced with code data of the numeral '0' (S134) and the data pointer value DP is increased by one (S135).
