PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knock out pin which is easily incorporated into a knock- out apparatus already installed in a press machine, and starts the ejection of a workpiece almost concurrently with the actuation of a knock-out stroke even when the ejection amount of the workpiece is adjusted to a value shorter than a predetermined knock-out interval. SOLUTION: The knock out pin 10 includes a knock-out principal axis 17 which reciprocates at a knock-out interval K, an ejector head 21 which reciprocates at an ejection interval shorter than the knock-out interval K, and a push pin 25 for connecting and separating the ejector head 21 to and from the knock-out principal axis 17. In the knock out pin 10, the knock-out principal axis 17 is moved in an ejection direction, and the workpiece W is ejected concurrently with the knock-out stroke. Then, the blind ejection of the knock-out principal axis 17 is carried out after the knock-out principal axis 17 is moved by an ejection amount until it reaches a stroke edge. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
