PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical bed mat having a mechanism capable of stably holding a subject on a bed even if the subject is larger than a standard figure, without the mechanism hindering the treatment. SOLUTION: The bed mat 1 for holding the subject to a top plate is composed of a mat cover 8; a top plate mat 3 inserted in a center pocket 9; and a pair of auxiliary sheets 11a, 11b inserted in pockets 10a, 10b on both sides. The auxiliary sheets 11a, 11b and the top plate mat 3 are connected by the mat cover 8 so that the auxiliary sheets 11a, 11b are arranged in an adjusted overlap to minimize the overlap with the top plate mat 3 while having the bearing power for supporting the body side. The body part of the subject is thereby placed on a top plate only through the top plate mat 3, so that there is no useless X-ray absorption in tomographic photographing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
