PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head pressure regulator for printer in which the head pressure can be regulated readily depending on the width of a label continuous body even if the regulator is reset frequently to label continuous bodies of different width. SOLUTION: A stripe print medium L is clamped by a platen roller 40 and a head body 34. A pair of print medium movable parts 6 are provided in order to move the print medium L to the central part of the head body 34 in the widthwise direction W and to position the print medium L thereat. Furthermore, means 8 for urging the head body 34 is provided in order to attenuate the pressing force against the head body 34 while interlocking with movement/ positioning of the print medium movable parts 6 to/at the central part of the head body 34.
