<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make players more than the number of controller terminals simultaneously participate in a game of a home game device wherein the game is performed by connecting a grip type controller. <P>SOLUTION: The grip type controller is operated in such a manner that a player holds grips 12a and 12b by both of right and left hands, and the controller is mainly operated by thumbs. Regarding such a grip type controller, an input mode for one player and an input mode for two players are made selectable. Under the input mode for the one player, the inputs from a left hand button group 16a and a right hand button group 16b are taken as inputs by one player, and a character control is performed. Under the input mode for two players, the left hand button group 16a and the right hand button group 16b are respectively made to correspond to different characters, and respective characters are controlled based on the inputs from respective button groups. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
