摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow golf club head which is made higher in repulsiveness and is made greater in the degree of freedom in design than in the case the golf club head is composed of the single metallic material alone by combining different kinds of materials as component materials of its face section.

SOLUTION: The hollow golf club head formed by arranging a plate material 2 at the face section of a head body 1 comprises forming a portion in the surface direction of the plate material 2 (at least either of a peripheral part 2a and a central part 2b) from fiber reinforced plastics and forming the remaining portion from metal. The plate material is otherwise formed from the metal and the reinforcing material 3 consisting of the fiber reinforced plastics is laminated to the rear surface of the plate material 2.
