PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method by which a smooth fine coating film is formed on a material to be coated. SOLUTION: This coating method is performed by charging the material 1 to be coated in a vacuum chamber 3, reducing the pressure in the vacuum chamber 3 to be in a vacuum state, spraying a liquid coating material in the vacuum chamber 3 in a fine particulate state and rotating the material 1 to be coated in the vacuum chamber 3 in this state to form the coating film on the surface of the material 1 to be coated.
