PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image quality difference by a link mode operation which enables an image output by transfer data from another apparatus. SOLUTION: An image is outputted by a printer unit 90A of a machine A by a predetermined input condition (ACC pattern), and a pattern image is read by a scanner unit 80B of a machine B. A scanner ID is added to obtained data, which is registered as base data forγcorrection into the machine A to be used for printerγcorrection to a transfer image (with the scanner ID added) of an original inputted from the machine B at a link operation time. Printerγcorrection to a transfer image of an input original from the machine A is also registered at the link operation time for the machine B. A correlation is formed accordingly. This correction system prevents the image quality difference in image outputs of both the link operation and the operation at one machine alone. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
