PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press that prevents deterioration of strength of a die holder in which a scrap hole of a slit rectangular shape is drilled and that is also designed not to impair the durability. SOLUTION: The upper die 2 is composed of a punch holder 4 supported freely vertically movably, a punch 5 which is fixed to the lower face of the punch holder 4 and which has a cross section fitted to the installation hole to be drilled on a metallic plate, and a wrinkle holder 6 which is provided so as to make it freely slidable along the outer circumferential face of the punch 5 and which is supported freely vertically movably with a spring 6b on the lower face of the punch holder 4. The lower die 3 is composed of a die holder 7 and a die 8 with a punch hole 8a drilled. In the center of a slit rectangular slug hole 7a drilled on the die holder 7, there is installed a scrap cutter 9 that breaks up the mills ends punched out of the metallic plate.
