ACCESS DEVICE

An access device (1) for providing access between a substrate surface and th e cabin (5) of a vehicle. The device (1) is attached to a rotating actuator (4) extending outwardly from the side of the cabin (5) for moving of the device (1) between the acce ss position (Fig. 1) and the storage position (Fig. 3). The device (1) includes a substantiall y triangularly shaped platform (2). A first side of the platform is attached to the rotatin g actuator (4). A second side of the platform (2) has the ladder (3) depending therefrom. The third side of the platform (2) is, in the access position (Fig. 1) located proximal to the cab in (5). The device (1) is rotated by the rotating actuator (4) to the storage position (Fig. 3) wherein the device (1) is substantially upturned relative to the access position (Fig. 1) of th e device (1) and wherein a substantial part of the device is positioned above the rotating actuator (4).
