PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of supplying paper and a device for controlling the paper supplying capable of conveying the paper by an adequate conveyance method corresponding to the paper to convey. SOLUTION: A paper control conveyance section 52 acquires a tip position of paper from a paper position presumption control section 53 to confirm an amount of conveyance of the paper based on the acquired tip position and switches a control method for conveying the paper based on an amount of conveyance of the paper confirmed. The paper control conveyance section 52 acquires a length and a kind of the paper from a print command received by a print command receiving section 51 and switches the control method for conveying the paper based on the acquired length and kind of the paper.
