PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high quality image by correcting positional shift of main scanning dot with high accuracy and suppressing generation of a longitudinal streak image due to phase correction of a pixel clock. SOLUTION: Only for a specified pixel clock in a data region constituted of a plurality of continuous pixel clocks, phase correction of pixel clock is performed at the timing of a clock signal from a high frequency clock generating means and its correction start timing is differentiated for each data region of different time series.
