PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated decorative material 9 excellent in pencil hardness and capable of effectively putting a melamine resin decorative sheet having a flaw in a part of a decorative layer to practical use. SOLUTION: Thin paper 3 and a thermosetting resin laminated sheet (e.g.; phenol resin laminated sheet 1), of which both surfaces are subjected to sanding treatment as a substrate material, are integrally laminated through an adhesive 2 and the surface of the thin paper 3 is coated with a urethane resin paint. Further, a decorative layer removed melamine resin decorative sheet, obtained by removing the decorative layer of the melamine resin decorative sheet having a surface flaw by sanding treatment, is used as the substrate material.
