PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of an image quality such as an S/N of a regeneration image by effects of residual charge left in a radiation solid detector 10 by irradiation of excessive radiation when recording past radiation image information in an image reading method and device reading the image signal by the irradiation of a reading light L2 from the radiation solid detector 10 having the radiation image information recorded by the irradiation of a recording light L1. SOLUTION: This image reading device stores a time elapsed from a time recording the past image information in the radiation solid detector 10 to a time recording the next radiation image information as well as the past image signal read from the past image information recorded in the radiation solid detector 10 in the past and the image signal is corrected based on the recorded past image signal and the elapsed time.
