<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently desalting ash with a small amount of cleaning water, removing even hardly-soluble salts which can not be removed by water cleaning, making an apparatus compact, and further miniaturizing a wastewater treating facility. <P>SOLUTION: This method and apparatus is characterized in that ash is cleaned by such a plurality of steps that a plurality of cleaning processes constituted of a mixer for mixing ash and water, and a solid/liquid separator for separating a mixture from the mixer into the ash and the water are provided, wherein the ash is cleaned in a plurality of the steps, the ash and the water flow countercurrently, and the ash-solid/liquid-separated in a first step of the solid/liquid separator is dehydrated up to less than 60% of a water content. In the first step of the mixer of the above cleaning processes, mix and agitation of the ash and the water, pulverization of the ash and further the action of exfoliating adhered material with which the surface of the ash is coated are performed, and solid/liquid separation is preferably performed in a centrifugal dehydrator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
