<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method and device for treating shredder dust capable of treating shredder dust without separating according to a size, specific gravity and moisture content or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Two screws 20a and 20b which are rotated in the opposite direction while being engaged with each other are provided inside a slender casing 12. The shredder dust which is not separated according to the size, specific gravity and moisture content or the like is crushed and compressed by rotating the two screws 20a and 20b so as to be rolled inside, and a thermoplastic resin contained by the shredder dust is fused and solidified. A heating value, heat generation value and pressurization value can be regulated, therefore the shredder dust is heated and compressed within a suitable temperature range.
