PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soldering iron in which simplification of a soldering process can be obtained and the soldering can be performed to a desired portion at a high precision and a solder film as a preliminary solder can be given to the desired portion at a high precision. SOLUTION: This soldering iron has a bar-like iron body 1 and a projecting part 3 arranged so as to further extend to the tip end side from the tip end side of the iron body 2. In the tip end part of the iron body 2, a sloping face part 2a is arranged so that the thickness of the iron body 2 is thinned according as the sloping face part 2a goes to the tip end part, and constituted so that the solder supplied in the sloping face part 2a is quickly melted. A rectangular face 2b is formed so as to connect with the sloping face part 2a at the tip end part of the iron body 2 and cross at the right angle with the longitudinal direction of the iron body 2. The projecting part is arranged so as to have smaller diameter than that of the iron body and constituted so that the fused solder is guided toward the tip end part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
