MONOCHROME CATHODE RAY TUBE FOR PROJECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A monochrome cathode ray tube and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to achieve improved luminance and prevent deterioration of phosphor over a long period of use by enhancing the quality of phosphor screen and reducing the thickness of phosphor screen. CONSTITUTION: A monochrome cathode ray tube comprises a face panel(4) having an inner surface on which a single color phosphor screen(2) is formed; a funnel(6) coupled to the rear of the face panel and which has a neck portion(8); an electron gun(10) mounted in the neck portion and which emits a ray of electron beam toward the phosphor screen; and a deflection yoke(12) mounted on the outer surface of the funnel and which deflects the electron beam. The phosphor screen is selectively positioned on the effective surface where an image is formed by the scanning of electron beam.
