ELECTRON GUN FOR PROJECTION TYPE CATHODE RAY TUBE AND ALIGNMENT TEST METHOD FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: An electron gun and an alignment test method for the same are provided to achieve improved productivity of beam index type cathode ray tube and prevent degradation of screen quality by removing defective electron guns in advance. CONSTITUTION: An electron gun comprises a cathode for emitting thermal electrons; a focus electrode for focusing the thermal electrons emitted from the cathode; an anode electrode for accelerating the thermal electrons focused by the focus electrode and which is assembled with the focus electrode at the state where the focus electrode is partially inserted in the anode electrode; and a pair of support members for aligning the cathode and electrodes. The anode electrode has an alignment test holes for testing alignment of the focus electrode inserted in the anode electrode.
