PURPOSE: A herbal composition having inhibitory effect on the formation of nitrogen oxide and TNF-α causing a brain disease as well as lung cell toxicity due to nitric oxide is provided. Therefore, the composition can prevent or reduce various diseases caused by smoking without causing adverse effect on the human body. CONSTITUTION: A herbal composition comprises Longanae Arillus, Corni Fructus, Dioscoreae Rhizoma, Poria cocos, Coicis Semen, Polyporus umbellatus(Pers.) Fries, Chrysanthemi Flos, Liriopis Tuber, Platycodi Radix, Salviae Radix, Menthae Herba, Astragali Radix, Perillae Semen, Crataegi Fructus, Hoarded Fructus and Adenophorae Radix in a weight ratio of 1 to 20:1 to 20:1 to 20:1 to 20:0.5 to 15:0.2 to 10:0.5 to 15:1 to 20:0.5 to 18:0.5 to 15:0.5 to 15:0.5 to 18:0.5 to 15:0.1 to 10:0.1 to 10:0.5 to 15.
