摘要 PURPOSE: To treat a latex with electron beams by irradiating and crosslinking the latex flowing below an electron irradiation surface in an irradiation chamber with the electron beams by the use of a self-shielding type electron beam- irradiating device of specific acceleration voltage, and sufficiently accelerating the crosslinking reaction in a low voltage. CONSTITUTION: The method for treating the latex with electron beams comprises opening an electromagnetic valve 42a to flow the latex to be treated from a tank 40a to the right side of an electron beam-irradiating tank 46 through a pump 44, passing the latex below an electron beam-irradiating surface 48 tilted at an angle of 15 degree toward the left side, simultaneously irradiating the about 1-3mm thick latex layer flowing below the electron beam irradiation surface 48 with the electron beams in a beam amount of 20-300kGy to crosslink the latex, dropping the irradiated latex on the left side of the electron beam irradiation tank 46, and subsequently receiving the crosslinked latex into a tank 40b through an electromagnetic value 50. Thus, the crosslinking reaction is sufficiently and effectively accelerated in the latex with the low voltage type electron beam device.
