PURPOSE: A speaker assembly of a portable disk player is provided to reproduce a sound similar to the original sound and prevent the sound from being distorted at maximum power. CONSTITUTION: A speaker assembly of a portable disk player is included in a display unit installed at one end of a base unit. The speaker assembly has a speaker grille(224), a speaker(250), and a spring(255). The speaker grille has a plurality of holes. The speaker is mounted on the back side of the speaker grille and receives a sound signal to generate a sound corresponding to the received sound signal. One end of the spring is supported by the back side of the speaker and the other end is supported by a fixing part. The speaker grille is formed on a front plate of a display unit, and the other end of the spring is supported by a cover of the display unit.
