PREPARATION METHOD OF LOW SWELLING BOROSILICATE FOAM GLASS USING WASTE GLASS AND COMPOSITION FOR PREPARATION OF LOW SWELLING BOROSILICATE FOAM GLASS

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a low swelling borosilicate foam glass by using waste glass and a composition for the preparation of a low swelling borosilicate foam glass are provided, to enable the foam glass having high corrosion resistance and heat resistance and low thermal expansion and thermal conductivity to be prepared without the pretreatment such as melting or hydrolysis of glass. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises 75-98 wt% of the waste borosilicate glass or waste glass powder or waste soda lime glass whose soda lime content is low, having a specific surface area of 5,000-55,000 cm2/g; and 2-25 wt% of the additive comprising 0.1-3.5 wt% of carbon with a specific surface area of 40-500 m2/g, 0.1-7.5 wt% of sulfate, 0.1-7.5 wt% of carbonate, 0.1-20.0 wt% of activated silica and 0.01-15.0 wt% of boric oxide.
