METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SYNCHRONIZING TIME OF IP PHONE USING CALL SERVER

PURPOSE: A method and system for synchronizing the time of an IP phone using a call server is provided to synchronize the time of an IP phone with exact standard time information using the time information of a time information server. CONSTITUTION: A call server(300) obtains time information from a plurality of SNTP(Simple Network Time Protocol) servers(100) through the Internet(200) and provides this obtained time information to a plurality of IP phones(400). The call server(300) comprises an SNTP client module(310) and an SNTP server module(320). The SNTP client module(310) receives time information for each SNTP server(100) through SNTP packet communication. The SNTP server module(320) provides the obtained time information to each IP phone(400) through SNTP packet communication. Each IP phone(400) has an SNTP client module(410), corresponding to the SNTP server module(320) of the call server(300). In addition, each IP phone(400) has an RTC(Real Time Clock) module(420) to execute time synchronization independently.
