PURPOSE: An opening device of a portable CD player is provided to control an open angle of a cover of the portable CD player, which is combined with the main body of the player through a hinge, and to change disk easily. CONSTITUTION: An opening device of a portable CD player includes a main body(10), a cover(15), a catch(131), and a guide plate(132). A CD is introduced into the inner space of the main body. The cover is combined with one side of the main body through a hinge to open and close the inner space of the main body. the catch is protruded at the hinge-combined portion of the cover. The guide plate is set at the hinge-combined portion of the main body to elastically support the catch while instantaneously stopping the catch at various angles so as to open the cover at various angles.
