PURPOSE: A stem pin structure is provided to allow for ease of welding and achieve improved reliability by permitting the stem pin has a predetermined area whose cross section is shaped as a near square. CONSTITUTION: A stem pin structure comprises a first area(4a) having a cross section shaped as a near cylinder in such a manner that the first area is coupled to a socket of a substrate disposed at the rear end of a CRT; a second area(4b) extended from the first area and which penetrates through a protrusion of a stem portion and has a diameter smaller than the diameter of the first area; and a third area extended from the second area and welded to an electron gun through a connector in such a manner that the third area is electrically connected to the electron gun. The third area has a cross section shaped as a near square cylinder so as to obtain a maximum welded area between the connector and the third area.
