PURPOSE: A disk protector of an optical disk player is provided to improve the construction of the disk protector so as to prevent generation of a disk error due to abrasion. CONSTITUTION: An optical disk player includes an optical pick-up(110). The optical pick-up has a disk protector(114) for protecting the optical pick-up and a disk(1) from damaging. The disk protector rotates when it comes into contact with the disk. The protector is composed of an insertion hole(114a) and a rotary bumper(114b). The insertion hole is formed on the top of the optical pick-up. The rotary bumper is placed in the insertion hole and rotates when it comes into contact with the disk. The top end of the rotary bumper, which is in close proximity to the disk, is protruded from the top of the optical pick-up by a predetermined length.
