FIELD: compositions of magneto-optical glasses possessing high values of Verdet constant in ultraviolet spectral region: applicable in optical instrumentation engineering and quantum electronics, for instance, in manufacture of magneto-optical (faraday) gates, modulators, circulators and similar devices. SUBSTANCE: magneto-optical glass includes B2O3 and contains EuO, with the fallowing amounts of components, wt.%: B2O3 39-45; EuO 55-61. EFFECT: increased Verdet constant in near part of ultraviolet spectral region and extended range of materials used in ultraviolet region. 2 tbl |
