FIELD: recovery of metal ions, particularly, of silver from sewage waters and process solutions by ion exchange; applicable in various industries. SUBSTANCE: method is realized by passing of treated solutions through inert carrier with zinc sulfide immobilized in carrier. Inert carrier is used in form of natural product - organic agar-agar polysaccharide.
