The coin storage system uses telescopic tubes (1), each of internal diameter appropriate to a coin of a specific denomination. The tubes are calibrated on the outside, enabling rapid identification of the amount of money held within the device. The system for storage of coins (2) or tokens, especially Euro currency, includes a set of between two and eight telescopic tubes (1). Each tube has an internal diameter appropriate to a coin of a specific denomination, and is carefully and accurately made, with the next tube sliding within it. The tubes are closed (5) at one end, and open (4) at the other end for introduction of coins. Each tube also has a collar (6) around its open end. Calibration marks (3) are formed on the outside of the body of each tube, so that the number of coins held within it may be counted. The tubes are closed by a plug (7) at the open end. The tube assembly may be contained within a leather or plastic cover, which may also hold bank notes.
