PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve following possibility of a drive concerning shifting characteristics of a transmission of a vehicle to be automatically or manually controlled. SOLUTION: A means is provided to display a standard gear at the time when an automatic shift order and a manual shift order are simultaneously or timely very closely generated, and hereby the standard gear specifies the timely earlier order out of the shift orders as the gear existing before the orders are generated, and shifting suitable for the manual shift order is carried out in consideration of a previously specified shift characteristic curve with the standard gear as a standard.
