PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan motor which improves starting properties. SOLUTION: In the motor 1 of the fan motor, the tooth 224 of an electromagnet 221 is provided with an auxiliary magnetic body 225. Moreover, a rotor 21 is provided with an auxiliary magnet 213. At stoppage of the motor 1, it stops in a position where the magnetic pole of a magnet 212 intensely receives the influence of a magnetic field from a coil 222 by magnetic action between the auxiliary magnetic body 225 and the magnet 212. This enables large starting torque to work on the rotor 21 at start of the motor 1, thus enhancing the starting properties of the fan motor 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
