PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device and a cutting method of a ceramic body capable of efficiently cutting the ceramic block body. SOLUTION: The cutting device 10 is substantially constituted of a work supply tray 51, a transfer device (not shown in a figure), a preheating table 11, a cutting table 54 and a cutting blade 55. The cutting blade 55 cuts the ceramic block body 53 disposed on the cutting table 54. The transfer device sequentially transfers the ceramic block body 53 from the work supply tray 51 as shown by an arrow sign K1 and disposes the block body on the preheating table 11. A preheating heater 12 is embedded in the table surface 11a of the preheating table 11. The ceramic block body 53, preheated on the preheating table 11, is transferred again tot the cutting table 54 by the transferring device. A heater 56 for heating the ceramic block body 53, is embedded in the table surface 54a of the cutting table 54. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
