<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately align a signal axis and to efficiently transmit and receive signals in a transmitter performing radio communication of information such as an infrared ray transmitter. <P>SOLUTION: The transmitter 1 changes only directivity without changing the optical axis direction of an infrared ray light. First, the infrared ray light 13 of wide directivity is sent out from the transmitter 1, and in order to make a receiver 2 receive the infrared ray light at or above a prescribed allowable level, the positions and directions of each other are adjusted (first optical axis adjustment). Then, the infrared ray light 12 of narrow directivity is sent out from the transmitter 1, and in order to make the receiver 2 receive the infrared ray light at or above the prescribed allowable level, the positions and directions of each other are adjusted (second optical axis adjustment). Though the directivity of the infrared ray light is narrow in the second adjustment, since rough optical axis alignment is already completed by the first adjustment, the optical axis is easily aligned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
