<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support shaft made of a ceramics for a lens holder which can be simply assembled to a metallic base of an optical pickup with high level of accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The support shaft 2 for a lens holder is made of a ceramics of a columnar or cylindrical shape and fixed to the metallic base 1 of the optical pickup to support a bearing 5 of the lens holder 6 in a freely turnable manner, and an end corner of the support shaft 2 at the side fixed to the metallic base 1 is formed to be an R face having a radius R<SB>1</SB>of curvature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
