<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card that ensures high image quality and excels in glossiness and scratch resistance by arranging an ink-jet recording layer excelling in visibility. <P>SOLUTION: The IC card has the ink-jet recording layer comprising, in sequential lamination on the obverse of the IC card, an ink absorbing layer and a protective layer comprising silicon including denatured polyvinyl alcohol and polymer particles of a mean particle size of 300 nm or less. In particular, the silicon including denatured polyvinyl alcohol is preferably silicon including denatured polyvinyl alcohol of a polymerization degree of 1,000 to 2,000. The ink absorbing layer, preferably, mainly comprises at least one type out of inorganic fine particles of porous silica, vapor phase method silica, hydrated alumina and vapor phase method alumina. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
