PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control magnetic force in a magnet roll. SOLUTION: In a magnet roll formed by combining a plurality of fan-shaped cross-sectional magnet pieces 6 with their major parts facing inward, the poles 8 to 12 of magnet pieces 6 play different roles in copying process. These poles have required performances by modifying the outer circumferential shapes of fan-shaped magnet pieces, particularly a development pole 8, a head regulation pole 9, etc., according to the magnetic characteristics required by users, thus eventually copying with the upgrading of picture and product quality.
