PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a multi screen display device by using a conventional display device without using the dividing apparatus of an input video signal. SOLUTION: The input video signal is inputted in common to respective display devices 200. A user selects the number of vertical and horizontal display devices for displaying and the display device number of them by a segmentation video selection part 16. A video area discrimination part 11 discriminates the resolution of the video area of the input video signal. A control part 12 calculates a sampling starting position and a segmentation area from the selected display device number, and calculates the magnification factor information of the segmentation area on the basis of the resolution and the number of selected vertical and horizontal display devices. A video segmentation part 13 segments the calculated area from the input video signal. A resolution conversion part 14 magnifies the video signal of the segmented area on the basis of the magnification factor information, and a video display part 15 displays the magnified video signal.
