PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner that can withstand the headwind phenomenon without changing the design of a unit circuit of a brushless DC motor. SOLUTION: A vent hole 20 for vent by rotation of a fan 14 is placed on a main body 12 of the outdoor unit 10. A shutter plate 24 for blocking the vent hole 20 is hung on an outer surface of the main body 12. When the headwind phenomenon occurs, this shutter plate 24 blocks the vent hole 20 and does not allow to counterrotate a brushless DC motor as a fan motor 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
