PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan motor which improves starting properties. SOLUTION: In the motor 1 of the fan motor, an auxiliary magnet 225 is buried in the tooth 224 of an electromagnet 221. At stoppage of the motor 1, it stops in a position where the magnetic pole of a magnet 212 receives the influence of a magnetic field from a coil 222 by magnetic action between the auxiliary magnet 225 and the magnet 212. This enables large starting torque to work on a rotor 21 at start of the motor 1, thus enhancing the starting properties of the fan motor 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
